Clients & Contacts

Available to: All roles (read). Project Manager, Supervisor, Accounting, Owner, Platform Admin (edit).

Clients and Contacts are the companies and individuals you perform work for. Every bid and job is associated with a Client, and optionally a specific Contact at that client.


Clients

A Client represents an organization or company that commissions work. You can add clients from the Clients page (New Client) if your role allows, when you start a new bid (inline + New Client), or by picking an existing client on a bid.

Client Fields

Field Description
name The company or individual name. Required.
email Primary contact email for the organization.
phone Primary contact phone number.
address Physical address of the client's office or headquarters.
notes Free-text notes about this client.

Client Detail — Project History

The Client detail page shows a Project History table listing all bids and jobs associated with that client. For each entry you can see:

  • Location — the job site address from the bid
  • Status — the current bid status (e.g., Awaiting PO, Approved)
  • Total — the declared bid price
  • Job — whether a job has been created from the bid

Contacts

A Contact is a named individual at a Client. Contacts represent the person who requested or is managing a specific project on the client's side.

Contact Fields

Field Description
name The contact's full name. Required.
phone Direct phone number.
email Direct email address.
role_title The contact's role or title at the client company.
notes Free-text notes about this contact — door codes, preferences, on-site instructions. Maximum 280 characters. Visible to all roles; editable by everyone except Badge Workers.
client The Client this contact belongs to.

Assigning a Contact on a Bid

When creating a new bid, you can select an existing contact from the chosen client's roster, or use + New Contact to add one inline. A contact can only be assigned to bids for their associated client.

Creating a Contact from the Contacts Page

If your role can manage contacts, use New Contact on the Contacts page. Choose the client company, then enter the person's name and optional role, phone, and email. You need at least one client before you can add a contact.

Contact Detail — Requested Work

The Contact detail page shows a Requested Work table listing all jobs whose source bid was associated with this contact:

  • Location — the job site from the bid
  • Status — the current job status (e.g., In Progress, Needs Invoice)

Access Control

The Contacts nav link is visible to Project Managers, Owners, and Platform Admins. All other roles (Supervisors, Accounting, Badge Workers) can reach a contact via a deep-link from a job or bid.
