Change Orders¶
Available to: Project Manager, Supervisor (create/submit); Owner, Accounting (approve)
A change order records extra scope on an active job — work beyond the original approved bid and PO that you will charge the client additionally.
When to Use a Change Order¶
Use a change order when:
- The client approves additional work mid-job
- Scope grows after the original PO was issued
- You need a tracked record of the extra amount and optional PO reference
Change orders do not modify the original bid. They attach to the job as separate approved add-ons.
Workflow¶
| Status | Meaning | Who acts next |

| Draft | Created, not yet sent for approval | PM or Supervisor submits |
| Submitted | Waiting for approval | Owner or Accounting approves or Owner rejects |

| Rejected | Declined — no charge | — |
